Keep Fish Wet – New name & program. Same passion.
Our friends at Keepemwet are now flying a new flag as Keep Fish Wet. While their name has changed, their work most-definitely hasn't: promoting education and outreach initiatives to create an accurate, consistent, and persistent message about science-based best practices for catch-and-release fishing.
“Using science-based best practices is your opportunity to put conservation into practice and help support the fisheries you love,” says Sascha Clark Danylchuk, Executive Director of Keep Fish Wet. “We need to do all we can to increase the resiliency of our fisheries, especially for native or vulnerable populations, and in the face of impacts such as climate change.”
In addition to the re-branding, they will continue to strengthen their social media presence and have also created and Advocate Program that recognizes individuals and businesses that sign the Keep Fish Wet Pledge, committing to the safe handling practices that decrease the chance of fish mortality. You can find the Pledge here: https://www.keepfishwet.org/advocate
Congratulations to the team at Keep Fish Wet for the fresh evolution, and thank you for the continued hard work and dedication to the health of our fisheries!
